Tracing our roots

School..a simple place of playground, trees and white washed buildings.. Could the saying simple and humble is the temple of god be true? At least it’s the place that certainly has all the innocence of our childhood preserved in its deep chest and what more pleasant abode could God want.
Looking back did the word ‘depressed’ ever come to our mind in all those days. I don’t think so. Now we have got depressing days , sad days, good days.. All we had then were days with exam and days without exam. Even the days with exam coming with the sure happiness of a long holiday. The holiday that was much awaited loses its charm in a week and we would be waiting for the school to reopen, reopening day getting filled with absence stories.
Each day unfolding as new.. starting from rushing to school in morning.. cursing the sun when standing in the assembly, looking for the same sun when it rains in sports day..uniform checking.. classes and classes.. punishments.. impositions.. PT periods promising fun..girls and boys fighting over which part of playground they want..finally the day getting over and rushing back to home..how simple and sweet our days had been then, am sure we would be missing even the small petty petty fights we had with our friends and the much immediate getting together with childish sweetness that only that stage in our life can offer.
It feels like we had travelled long since the end of our idyllic life in school and the start of this never ending struggle to keep us in the race of survival and in all this transition we can certainly be proud that we have not risked our hearts and morality in the all -out bid for success..we have got our integrity preserved…the one thing that makes we students of christuraja stand out in this ambitious scheming world….. So lets make sure that we treasure our past and travel in the righteous light it gives us…be proud of the school that gave us these roots to stand tall and strong…
