Life is short. Seventy years to live on earth compared to the age of the earth. So the Epicurean would say “Eat, drink, and be merry”. Some however would think that they should use their short span in this life to help others, to treat other fellow humans as themselves, to give others a better tomorrow. Others would think it is better to preach than to practice. Is it better to say “What I have is mine and what you have should be mine some day” or to share what you have ?”

So… If you have a pen use it. Write like Harriet Beecher Stowe who wrote “The Uncle Tom’s Cabin and triggered righteous anger against Slavery. If you have money give it so that some poor child can learn. Remember you could have been that child. If you have time, use it to lift up some one in need as Mother Teresa did. Don’t forget your knees will fail you before long. You do not have to be a Gandhiji or a Abraham Lincoln. Just be yourself – the person God made. You have a responsibility towards others. Act now!!
