My school is Christuraja Matriculation Higher Secondary School. My school is big. My school has a big playground. There are trees around the playground. The children will play at evening.
There are so many classrooms. In the classroom every student sits on bench & desk. There is a table and chair for my teacher. There are many students in my class. There is a clock hanging on the wall of my class. There is a staff room where all teachers sit. I am afraid of the office room.
I like my friends. I love my school!
This is an excerpt from an essay about ‘My School’ written by one of our friends when at Christuraja School. Will we ever think like this again in our life? That innocence, that period of life, when our school was the whole universe that we knew.
Man, when I think of all those things that had happened at Christuraja School, it’s like a never-ending dream. I could go on and on and on about all those silly stuff that everyone of us did at school. Gosh, just thinking of those things makes my mind go wild with those vivid memories!
Maybe, the school life is one which can be never replicated in life. If it was possible now to go back to school – with all this knowledge of worldly filth in our minds – can we be ever as innocent as then? Will it be the same? I guess, it’s stupid to think this!
But this is the reality – WE ARE NOT IN SCHOOL ANYMORE! Maybe there were times when we thought at school – why don’t we grow up sooner? How soon will we get into college? But, now it makes me think – why did I ever ask to grow up soon? Why did I ever think of leaving school?
Those wonderful memories of school overwhelms us! Maybe we can’t go back to school. (We, most definitely can’t!) But there’s one thing we can do – relive those memories! How? Only through our friends who were at school with us! Those who feel what I feel now! Sharing those memories and enjoying a more intimate friendship is what we as Christuraja Alumni can do to regain what we lost when we left school!
